Kickboxing World Championship returns to Northern Ireland with the next edition of Billy Murray Promotions titled “King of the Ring”. The “made in Prokick” event takes place at Stormont Hotel in Belfast on June 6, featuring Johnny “Swift” Smith up against Yohe Fujioka in a five-round contest with WKN Welterweight title on the line.
Undefeated in nine professional outings Johnny Smith (9-0, 6 KO) of Northern Ireland holds the title of WKN Intercontinental welterweight champion. In his previous bout in October 2019 he retained the belt and earned a shot at world title by knockout in the second round against Shuhei Sone of Japan. “Swift”
Smith lifted intercontinental belt in June 2019 via fourth-round stoppage of Lee Ji Hoon of Korea. In addition, he held amateur world title and recorded 17-4-2.
Yohe Fujioka of Japan is the current JKFC Kickboxing Welterweight champion and was crowned the YAMATO 70 kg 8-man Tournament Winner in 2018. He goes by the name of “KO Master”. From his 20 wins, 19 have come by way of knockout.
In his previous bout in September 2019 Fujioka stopped Garyu Shingo. Prior to that he KO’d Kenta Mori and Franco Gutierrez.
The undercard will see a series of kickboxing bouts with local and international competitors.

TEKB 17: Adrover vs. Scaletta for WKN European title in Agde
WKN European title will be on the line on April 4 at Palais des Sports in Agde, France. The contest features Clement Adrover of France up against Salvatore Scaletta of Belgium. The five-round super bantamweight championship bout headlines the next edition of TEKB 17 presented by Christophe Dragole.
Clement Adrover is riding the two-fight win streak. This includes the fourth-round TKO win over French Nicolas Rivas and a unanimous decision against Italian Samuele Andolina in June and May 2019, respectively.
Salvatore Scaletta is coming off the win by unanimous decision, as well as the revenge, over his Belgian-fellow Mohammed Kloua, which he scored in November 2019. The pair first met at kickboxing series Simply the Best 17 Farciennes.
The co-main event is a three-round encounter between local Gregoire Gottardi and Valerie Carabet of Moldova. The winner takes the “Trophée de l’Éphèbe 2020”.
Also on the main card Zaid Douich of France faces Roberto Bonetti of Italy in a three-round 60 kg catchweight bout, and Damien Grégoiren takes on his French-fellow Sofian Hadj Brahim at 70 kg catchweight. In addition, Clara Asensio of France and Ludovica Ciarpaglini of Italy square off in the women’s kickboxing battle at 60 kg.
The undercard will see a series of amateur kickboxing bouts.
Over the years the annual TEKB – Trophée de l’Éphèbe de Kickboxing featured WKN World, European and intercontinental title bouts with some of the best athletes of the current era of kickboxing.

Three WKN titles were contested at Villejuif Boxing Show 2 at Espace congres les Esselieres in Villejuif, France on March 7. The event saw some of the best representatives of the country-host up against international opponents in the world-class championship bouts.
Yannick Reine of France became a new World Kickboxing Network lightweight champion via third-round TKO of Woo Seung Kim of Korea.
Bertrand Lambert of France earned WKN European lightweight title by unanimous decision over Jacko Nicola after five rounds.
Amine Kebir of France claimed WKN European super heavyweight belt via third-round stoppage of David Mihajlov of Hungary.
WKN International supervisor was Osman Yigin of Belgium. President of World Kickboxing Network Stephane Cabrera attended the event.
Villejuif Boxing Show 2 was presented by Academie des Boxes de Villejuif. The undercard saw a series of bouts with local and international competitors.
