Professional Fighters League Announces The 2024 Season Of PFL Europe

The 2024 season of PFL Europe is set to blast off with an earth-shattering headliner: the unbeaten Cedric ‘The Best’ Doumbe (5-0) going toe-to-toe with the undefeated juggernaut Baissangour “Baki” Chamsoudinov (8-0). This colossal clash is descending upon the Accor Arena in Paris, lighting up your screens live on DAZN, Thursday, March 7.

Rewind to last year’s PFL debut in Paris, crowned as the MMA gathering of 2023, where Doumbe delivered a viral, jaw-dropping nine-second knockout. Now, he faces “Baki,” a titan among prospects, in a showdown that promises to be his career’s most formidable battle yet. These Parisian gladiators are poised to transform the SmartCage into an arena of legends on March 7.

But there’s more. The Accor Arena isn’t just hosting a fight; it’s the launchpad for the entire PFL Europe Season. The event will showcase a cavalcade of Europe’s finest, fresh-faced warriors and seasoned veterans, all vying for the start of their ‘Path to Greatness.’ They’re chasing dreams of glory, the coveted PFL Europe Championship belt, and a hefty $100,000 in prize money.

Packed with narratives and high-stakes drama, 2024 ramps up the intensity. Thirty-two athletes across four weight classes, including the spanking new European Men’s Welterweight category and the likes of 2023 Champion Jakub Kaszuba, are set to clash.

The journey begins in Paris on March 7 and winds through Newcastle, England, at Utilita Arena on June 8, then marches into uncharted territory in Glasgow, Scotland, at OVO Hydro for a playoff spectacle on September 28. The season’s crescendo will be an epic Championship event, with the venue still under wraps.

Dan Hardy, PFL Europe’s Head of Fighter Operations, can barely contain his excitement. “We’re bringing the crème de la crème of French MMA to Paris’ grandest stage,” he says. Cedric Doumbe’s electrifying presence promises to crown a night of thrilling bouts featuring the finest local and European talent, kicking off yet another riveting season of the PFL Europe League.

Broadcast live on DAZN, the sports streaming titan and PFL’s new French home, the excitement is palpable. DAZN, expanding its French repertoire since summer 2023, is ready to serve a feast of premium sports content, including all four PFL Europe events of 2024.

Pete Oliver, CEO of DAZN Growth Markets, is all in on this venture. “Ever since we bagged the top Ligue 1 Uber Eats spots with Canal+ in August 2023, we’ve been on the hunt for more. MMA’s huge in France, and the PFL lineup is unmatched. We’re thrilled to deepen our PFL ties and bring an action-packed lineup to French fans and beyond.”

PFL Europe, the league’s first international venture, showcases Europe’s finest MMA talent. Starting in Newcastle in March 2023, the league has hopscotched through Berlin, Paris, and Dublin, crowning its first champions – Dakota Ditcheva, Jakub Kaszuba, Jakob Nedoh, and Khurshed Khakorov – each pocketing $100,000.
