DAZN, the top-leve sports entertainment network, has just unveiled a new collaboration with Naciones Boxing Series. This partnership is also affiliated with Naciones MMA Inc and Vargas Promotions, owned by Hall of Fame Boxer Fernando “El Feroz” Vargas. The agreement entails live broadcasting of three events for the rest of 2023, along with 10 more scheduled for 2024 exclusively on DAZN.
Starting today, if you’re looking for English-language broadcasts of Naciones Boxing Series, DAZN is your go-to. The inaugural event is set to air live at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on September 21, streaming from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
The main fight of the event is an 8-round bantamweight contest between up-and-coming fighters Esteban “Puas” Ibarra, who holds a 6-0 record, and Jose Angel “Guerrero” Amaro, with a 5-1 record.
Naciones MMA is already recognized for its fast growth and adrenaline-fueled fights in the MMA world. Now, they aim to bring the same level of excitement to boxing.
“We’re thrilled to broaden our range of combat sports on DAZN. Our collaboration with Naciones MMA has been fulfilling, and now, teaming up with a boxing icon like Fernando ‘El Feroz’ Vargas is just the icing on the cake. A big shoutout to DAZN for allowing us to showcase fresh talent from Naciones Boxing Series to a global audience, from Mexico to the U.S. and even Europe,” expressed Eduardo Vargas, the CEO of both Naciones Boxing Series and Naciones MMA. Prior to this, Vargas was an executive at Combate Americas and a talent scout.
The production of the series is in the capable hands of Andrew Alva. On the analyst desk, you’ll find esteemed sports journalist Beto Duran and, of course, Fernando Vargas. The fights will alternate between locations in Mexico and the United States.
